I was getting my hip pockets kick until the last move. Joe (chess4him) had stated one should create tension on the board. That is just what I did, and I was surprised. The opponent had actually out played me, but my queen disturbed his concentration.
I normally don't play the King's Gamebit...

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I would say he outplayed you. Sure he was up a few pawns, but that's the idea of a gambit -- you give up material for faster development.
You got your pieces out early and into the fray. Looking at the ending position, you have both rooks actively posted, a well developed knight, and a monster queen. He has his queen and bishop out, but two of his pieces (rook and bishop) are still on their original squares!
